1.2.1 Capture Batch Setup Configuration
The steps to configure Capture Batch Setup include:
1. Run the ODC (Centralized) with Start All Programs Oracle Document Capture Oracle Document Capture. The first time ODC is run, the Capture Batch Setup window will be shown. Fill in the batch path setup directory according to the picture below (Network Batch Folder to C:\ODC\BatchFolder while Network Commit Folder to C:\ODC\CommitFolder). For Capture Database Setup, choose Other Database Platform and click Configure.
2. On the Configure Database Connection screen, click on Configure DB Connection…
3. On the Data Link Properties screen, choose Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider then click on Next.
4. On the Connection tab, click on browse to choose the Database name (Capture.mdb). Leave the username and password boxes empty since we’re using MS Access database. Click Test Connection to check the connection with the database.
5. On the Advanced tab, leave the setting to default. On the All tab, choose the property Persist Security Info then click Edit Value…
6. Change the Property Value to True. Click OK then OK again to finish the batch setup.
1.2.2 Security for Capture Configuration
Security for Capture is the continuation of Batch Setup. This configuration appears during the database initialization process as a continuation of Capture Database Setup. The database initialization only works for databases other than MS-Access, such as Oracle or SQL-Server. When defining the connection with Oracle or SQL-Server is not automatically created yet, because they have to initialize the database first.
